CAPTAIN STEVE HUBBARD

Steve is the Captain of Two Suns. He holds a 100 Ton USCG License and has worked with Porter since 2009. Running a boat like Two Suns is his dream job. Ever since he was young he knew that he wanted to be on the water, so much so that he joined the Coast Guard where he was lucky enough to be stationed in both Hawaii and Key West.

In the Coast Guard Steve served as a Quartermaster (navigator) and also a law enforcement boarding team leader. The experience taught him that people can never be too safe on the water and being prepared is the key to a successful outing.

“To say I am passionate about fishing is an understatement. Unless you've had the chance to reel in a big game fish, words can’t do it justice. It’s an experience of a lifetime and nothing makes me more proud than when I help guests land a trophy fish. I look forward to exceeding your expectations.” - Capt. Steve

First-Mate-Sam-Alsop

SAM ALSOP - 1ST MATE

Sam is the first mate on Two Suns. Not only did Sam grow up on the water but he was born on the water too. He was born on a boat in Connecticut. He grew up spending his free time catching striped bass and bluefish. He went on to manage a small marina until 2007 when he moved south to Miami for warmer weather and bigger fish.

He has fished in Costa Rica, Australia, and the Bahamas. When not looking for marlin on Two Suns you can usually find him spearfishing, scuba diving or out in his canoe fly fishing for bonefish and permit on the flats around Biscayne Bay.

Sam has been working on Two Suns since 2012 and also holds a USCG Captain’s License. One of his favorite things about working on Two Suns is being able to help a guest catch their first big fish and take away an experience that they will never forget.
